It was also often used as an aphrodisiac, enhancing bliss and orgasmic pleasure. (Hooray!) And consumed to help a mother during childbirth.
When cacao is used ceremonially it is a non psychoactive plant medicine. Used by shamans and healers for thousands of years, it has a simple yet potent ability to take you on a deep inner journey of your psyche, heart & soul. It is gentle, yet powerful and transformative.
I hold ceremonies for men and women who want to dive into their healing, meditation & soul growth or who are just curious.
The cacao energy, often known as Ixcacao, is often experienced as a feminine, shakti energy – life giving, nourishing & energising.
The sacred cacao bean was also associated with Xochiquetzal, an Aztec fertility maiden goddess associated with love, beauty, childbirth, feminine sexual power and female crafts.
Coined as ‘food for the shift’, cacao ceremony acts as fuel for our spiritual evolution by helping us find joy in our hearts, release old pain, and tune in to the messages of the soul.

As I gently guide you through quiet meditation you may become aware of Angels by your side, past hurts that are ready to be healed, visions of a new creative project or a transcendent outpouring of love.
There is no ‘typical’ ceremony. Tears, laughter, and orgasmic energy are all possible. Ceremonial cacao is a world away from your supermarket chocolate.
The average chocolate bar is heavily heat treated, processed sugars and dairy are added and perhaps preservatives and vegetable fats. This eradicates most of the medicinal properties of high grade raw cacao.
Ceremonial Grade Cacao is cacao in it’s purest form; ground from the beans, with the cacao butter intact. I work with a nutritionally and energetically high-strength grade of cacao that is rich in alchemical compounds, usually imported from trusted sources in Guatemala.[/text_block]

I sing mantras, songs and prayer into the cacao to infuse it with a deep energy of love in preparation for your ceremony.
In a world that constantly pulls our attention in so many different ways, it’s so very beneficial to stop, breathe, and get back in touch with your heart again.[/text_block]
