What peyote showed me about the power of Gyatri Mantra

I have been blessed to travel around the world and sit with masters, avatars, great healers, indigenous wisdom keepers & truth seekers.
An incredibly exciting, beautiful and challenging experience it continues to be!
In one peyote healing ceremony, under the watchful eye of a Mexican Wixarika Shaman, I was having a particularly difficult time. The healing power of this medicine is not just physical, emotional and spiritual, but also inter dimensional.
While I don’t pretend to know all the secrets of the vast realms of the universe, I can share my personal experiences, in the hopes it can shed light to those who need it.  I had many deep experiences that particular starry night, some of which I only got insight on a year later in quite unusual circumstances, but that may be a story for another day.
A being appeared to me in need of great healing. This did not resonate as an aspect of myself from this life time. ( This would relate to what’s known as soul retrieval).
Side note**
Sometimes in our healing journey we can encounter something where we feel an external force is oppressive against us; you dream someone is chasing you, or you meet a ‘dark’ or angry energy in meditation, or healing session or medicine ceremony. While this is absolutely possible, it is also very possibly an aspect of yourself you have repressed. Your ‘shadow’ aspect of consciousness, that forms as an ‘other’ in your mind, + presents itself to you to be addressed.
multi dimension
So, whether this was a soul aspect of myself from a past/parallel life, or another being entirely ( this was my sense as I felt she needed to be ‘crossed over’ ) ‘she’ was not able to pass fully over in to the light due to the trauma she had encountered in her earthly life. Some ‘earth bound’ spirits get stuck on the earth plane after they have passed, due to fear of some kind. They have refused to go to the exit sign, the light, on departure from their flesh body, to transition into the astral realm.
Sometimes this is because of a traumatic death which may have caused confusion, not realising they have actually passed over, or for some other reason, decided they won’t fully cross over. Read more on all that here
I am not a medium by the way (I’m psychic), so please excuse any haphazadry of language 🙂
Having no experience what so ever in this area (I’m so always thrown in at the deep end) I felt out of my depth. “I can’t do this!” I cried. I certainly knew I needed help, immediately, so I called on everything Holy I know to help, Yeshua, Mother Mary & Magdelene, Tara, all Arch Angels, guides and highest light and love beings to assist. I felt like a small ship, lost at sea in treacherous waters, alone in the darkness and hanging on for dear life!
I immediately felt their loving presence and I sent this being deep loving acceptance, knowing I nothing but love to offer.
Isn’t it true, that when someone is suffering so deeply, there really is nothing we can do but love them. Love them and be present until they feel whole again. Remind them of the love and light that is within them. Remind them that they are loveable and loved, isn’t that what we all want to know.
I sang the Gyatri Mantra silently, over and over again, enveloping her in it’s light and vibration. I didn’t really know why I was doing it, it just felt like that’s what I had to do.
Brahmin reading hindu mantra in Nepal
The Gyatri Mantra (also known as Savitri Mantra; Savirti another name of god as relating to the fountain, and relating to the sun) is a highly revered mantra in Hiduism, based on a Vedic Sanskrit verse from a hymn of the Rigveda (3-62-10). Thought to be around 4-6,000 years old, the ancient sacred text of the Rigveda was written in Sanskrit, & every word has several meanings.
Essentially it’s a prayer to the Supreme Divine, in the form of the sun, which stimulates our mind and empowers us. That’s very essentially, because let me tell you there are layers and laters and layers to just this one short recitation! I will just share a little information as there is so very much to be discovered.
Here is one translation:
Om Bhur Bhuvah Svaha
Tat Savitur Varenyam
Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi
Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat.

The Divine illumination which pervades all the worlds

Which is most adorable

On that Divine radiance we meditate

May it enlighten our intellect and awaken our wisdom.

Some mantras are so powerful there are restrictions on who can chant them and when (power in the right hands and all that) but this can be used by anyone. It is considered one of the most important and powerful mantras available.

“Of the many methods of yoga one of the most potent is the yoga of Gayatri mantra. Mantras have powers to endow one with remarkable abilities. The Gayatri mantra gives the devotees spiritual as well as material benefits.” – Sri Ramana Maharshi

I tell people that it is not necessary to get engaged in prolonged sadhnas. Perform simple Gayatri Sadhana and see the result. Great siddhis are attained by Gayatri sadhana. This mantra is small, no doubt, but it is extremely powerful – Ramakrishna Paramahamsa

Gayatri is a mantra of righteous wisdom and therefore, it has been called a be-jeweled crown of all the mantras – Swami Vivekananda

I wasn’t aware of it’s enormous power before I went to that ceremony, nor was I yoga teacher then. That came after.
Being in communion with the ceremonial medicine of peyote, the medicine showed me psychically what was happening as I silently chanted. (And very grateful I am for this understanding)
It was cleaning.
That’s the best way I can describe it; the symbology in the vision showed me a great jet stream of water that cleaned away fear / low vibrational energy. It was literally creating Divine light + relief where no human mind could comprehend the way out of the darkness, as I chanted the mantra over and over again.
Calling the divine in to your life when you have no idea what to do, where to go, or which path to take can sometimes be the only way to clarity and elevation out of difficult circumstances. The divine can make a way where one was not shown + clear the murkiness of lower energy, completely transforming it to light. I could see it happening, and the energy was becoming lighter.
Even Mahatma Gandhi said:

Gayatri mantra chanted with a calm and steadfast mind helps one overcome even those obstacles which otherwise appear insurmountable

and: Sadguru Sant Keshavadas said:

Gayatri meditation is the highest form of meditation known in the Vedas. Gayatri is chanted for the attainment of universal consciousness and for the awakening of intuitive powers.

Gayatri meditation destroys all delusions, energises prana, bestows longevity, health, brilliance and illumination.

The Gayatri Mantra is the key to opening the door of Cosmic Consciousness.

I’m convinced of the Divine power of this mantra. Not because of something I’ve read in a book, but through my own personal experience. I have often found in my life that I have experienced something, and later found out meaning or correlation. I guess that’s the true blind test.

After some time, the soul eventually passed over into the light, safely carried in the arms of Angels. It was a very moving experience for me.

Not one I wish to repeat mind, but as always I learn so much from this beloved medicine and spiritual path.
